eLead Promo started as a eco-friendly college apparel company officially licensed with over 40 universities, including all eight Ivy League institutions. We made the natural transition to offering all promotional products, but are still mindful of sustainability and fair trade with regards to our day-to-day operations. Our supplier network actually verifies the fair-trade business practices of every supplier, so we only source from fair-trade and eco-friendly suppliers. Unfortunately, when you get into lower cost items in the promotional marketing industry, most of those items are made overseas. So its very important to be aware of the fair-trade rating of these suppliers to make sure you aren’t buying from non-compliant suppliers. Our direct to garment (DTG) apparel printer, that we use to print the one-off apparel, uses water based eco-friendly inks. It does not use the plastisol inks used in conventional screen-printing. So all of the one-off apparel printing done internally at eLead, is done so in an eco-friendly manner.
